Victorian Loo Table c1860-1880

Victorian Mahogany folding Loo table. 


A Loo table is a table model from the 18th & 19th centuries, originally designed for the card game loo, (a game also known as Lanterloo)





This typical loo table has an oval top & hinged mechanism fitted to an ornate pedestal base, enabling the table to be easily stored when not in use. How practical were the Victorians?

Victorian practicality also included castors for easy movement with many featuring an ornate carved and turned pedestal base.
